What is quickshell-git?
Quickshell is a flexible, code-first toolkit for building custom desktop shell components — status bars, widgets, lock screens, notification centers and more — using QtQuick/QML, primarily for Wayland compositors such as Hyprland (with X11 support too). Rather than a ready-made shell, it's a low-level building-block library with hot reloading that developers use to assemble their own desktop UI, so it powers other people's Hyprland setups rather than offering one out of the box.
