What is elephant-todo?
Elephant is a background data-provider service (communicating over Unix sockets and Protocol Buffers) that powers application launchers and desktop widgets on Linux. The todo provider is one of its plugins, letting a launcher frontend add items, mark them active or done, set due times, and surface notifications, all without its own window; you interact with it through whatever launcher UI is connected to Elephant.
