What is claude-code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool: you run it from a project directory and describe what you want in plain language, and it reads your codebase, edits files, runs commands, and handles git workflows like commits and PRs on your behalf. It runs primarily as a terminal CLI but also integrates with IDEs and GitHub (by tagging @claude on issues or PRs).
