What is herdr?

Herdr is a Rust-based terminal session manager purpose-built for running multiple AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and similar tools) at once. It works like tmux or screen, keeping sessions alive through disconnects or reboots and letting you reattach from anywhere, but it also detects each agent's state, working, blocked, done, or idle, and shows it in a sidebar so you're not hunting for a stuck agent. It runs inside your existing terminal (ghostty, alacritty, kitty, wezterm) with no Electron overhead.
