What is libfprint-git?

libfprint is the core software library that handles low-level communication with fingerprint scanning hardware and processes the fingerprint image data it captures. It is not something end users interact with directly; instead, system services like fprintd (which exposes fingerprint scanning over D-Bus) and desktop settings panels such as GNOME's Users settings build fingerprint login on top of it. This -git build tracks the current development branch with FocalTech MOC (Match-on-Chip) sensor support included, ahead of the stable release.
