What is limine-mkinitcpio-hook?
This package hooks limine-entry-tool into mkinitcpio so that installing, updating, or removing a kernel automatically regenerates the corresponding Limine bootloader entry, including unified kernel images and fallback images. It writes and prunes entries by machine-id and periodically backs up limine.conf, removing the need to hand-edit boot configuration after a kernel update.
