What is linux-ptl-audio?

linux-ptl-audio is a variant of the Panther Lake enablement kernel that backports SDCA (SoundWire Device Class for Audio) driver support so speakers and microphones work correctly on new Intel Panther Lake laptops. Like its sibling linux-ptl, it exists to give very new hardware working audio on Linux before those fixes land in a standard stable kernel release.
