What is ttf-jetbrains-mono-nerd-basic?

This is JetBrains' popular monospaced coding typeface run through the Nerd Fonts patcher, which adds glyphs from icon sets like Font Awesome, Devicons, and Octicons directly into the font. Terminal prompts, file-manager TUIs, and status bars that expect Nerd Font icon glyphs (folder icons, git branch symbols, language logos, and so on) render correctly once this font is installed and selected.
