What is hermes-desktop?
Hermes Agent is an open-source AI agent from Nous Research that is built around a learning loop: it creates and improves its own skills from experience, persists knowledge across sessions, and searches its own past conversations. Hermes Desktop is the native app version of it for macOS, Windows, and Linux, giving you a local window onto the same agent that's also reachable through Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, and email. It can run against Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or your own model endpoint.
