What is lib32-nvidia-580xx-utils?
This package provides the 32-bit companion utilities and shared libraries for NVIDIA's proprietary 580xx driver branch, needed so that 32-bit applications and games (commonly run through Steam/Proton on a 64-bit system) can talk to an NVIDIA GPU correctly. It has no interface of its own; it just supplies libraries other 32-bit programs link against. The 580 driver branch is NVIDIA's current long-lived branch, notable for improved Wayland support and being the last branch to support older Maxwell/Pascal/Volta GPUs.
