What is macbook8-spi-pxa2xx-nodma-dkms?
This is a modified version of the Intel PXA2xx SPI PCI driver, patched specifically to force PIO (programmed I/O) mode for the Wildcat Point GSPI controller (PCI ID 8086:9ce6) found in the MacBook8,1 (early 2015 12-inch MacBook). It exists as a workaround for DMA-related issues on that exact chipset so the SPI-attached keyboard and trackpad function correctly. It is distributed through the Omarchy project's package repository rather than upstream, and has no interface of its own - it is a background kernel module.
