What is tuxedo-drivers-nocompatcheck-dkms?
This package builds the same DKMS kernel modules TUXEDO Computers ships for its laptops, covering function keys, keyboard backlight, fan control, power profiles, and other embedded-controller sensors, but with the hardware compatibility check disabled. That lets it run on laptops from other brands that share the same underlying barebone hardware as a supported TUXEDO model (for example a TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen 4 and a rebadged Schenker Via 14 Pro). The maintainer warns this bypass can be risky since embedded-controller code that targets the wrong hardware can potentially cause damage.
